Love Your Training Academy (LYTA) is a comprehensive doula training program offering a 200-hour, evidence-informed curriculum aligned with the National Doula Certification Board (NDCB), preparing trainees to pursue the Certified Professional Doula (CPD) credential.Our program equips aspiring birth professionals with both a strong educational foundation and the hands-on skills needed to confidently support individuals and families throughout the perinatal journey.

Designed to develop competent, compassionate, and career-ready doulas, the LYTA curriculum combines foundational instruction with applied learning experiences. Through simulation-based training, case studies, mentorship, and interactive practice, trainees gain real-world experience in a structured and supportive environment before entering professional practice.

The training culminates in a capstone experience where trainees synthesize their learning, demonstrate readiness for practice, and reflect on their professional identity as emerging birthworkers. Our goal is to ensure graduates leave not only knowledgeable, but prepared to serve families with confidence, professionalism, and purpose.

At LYTA, we integrate culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches within a broader framework of communication, advocacy, clinical awareness, and ethical support. The program is also aligned with the Indiana Medicaid doula pathway, helping expand access to essential birth support services while preparing graduates for sustainable and impactful careers.

All trainees, mentors, and graduates affiliated with LYTA are expected to uphold the Love Your Training Academy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, rooted in the principles of professionalism, client autonomy, cultural humility, confidentiality, and ethical birth support.
